Screen Printing vs Digital Printing
Screen printers produce a livelier finish, especially when printed onto a dark surface. Digital Printing is better when it comes to detailed work as its ink layers are thinner which makes for a more accurate print.
Vinyl T-shirt Printing vs Screen Printing
When it comes to deciding between the 2 you should keep four factors in mind: details, colour, fading and quantity.
- Detail: Screen printing is excellent for detailed designs. Vinyl printing allows for some details, but most will be lost.
- Colour: For vibrant colours, screen printing will always be the better option as it allows you to chose from a larger range of colours which can easily be blended to create gradients!
- Fading: Screen printing will last longer than vinyl T-shirt printing as it is more durable to wear and tear/washing. Vinyl printed clothing will however still last for at least a few years.
- Quantity: Vinyl printing is often used for smaller volumes (up to 12 items) as it is less time consuming than screen printing. The method of screen printing is perfect for bulk volumes (12 + items) as the set up stays the same for each item.
